Finally a way to sync with multiple computers. It requires a little editing of your iTunes library files, but it can be done in under 10 minutes.

While Apple increased the download speed on the new iPhone 3GS, they did not increase the upload speeds which are stuck at an anemic 384 kbps.

How to create free ringtones for your iPhone 3gs using iTunes

1. Go to iTunes.

2. Right click song you would like to create ringtone with and click get info.

3. Go to the Options Tab.

4. Check the start time and stop time boxes and enter the clip you want for your ringtone. (30 seconds or less).

5. Click OK.

6. Now right click the same file in iTunes and “Create AAC Version”

7. You will now see another 30 second or less version of the song in your itunes library.

8. Click and drag that file to your desktop.

9. Change the extension from m4a to m4r.

10. Delete the file in iTunes that you just dragged out onto your desktop.

11. Double click the new m4r file on your desktop, which will load it back into iTunes as a ringtone.

12. Sync your phone.

Occasionally, you may hear the optical disc drives produce an unusual series of noises when the computer starts up or is woken up from sleep. Here is the fix.
